The Scottish League Two provides us with a betting opportunity on Tuesday night with Clyde taking on Elgin City as the betting tips continue at the Broadwood Stadium with Clyde getting a chance to avenge their recent defeat away at Tuesday night’s opponents, Elgin City here.

Clyde Prediction

Clyde occupy 3rd place in the Scottish fourth tier and therefore sit in one of the promotion play-off places, but they’ll be trying to gain the best position they can in the play-off pack in order to get a favourable tie against one of the lower teams in League One.

Clyde trail 2nd placed Edinburgh City by six points so even if Clyde take all three points here, they’ll still be relying on Edinburgh City to slip up sometime soon. The hosts come into this important clash having won three of their last four in League Two with wins recorded over Stirling Albion, Edinburgh City and Stirling Albion again.

They’ve suffered one loss in their last four matches and that was a 2-1 loss away to tonight’s opponents, Elgin City just over a week ago, but Clyde get a chance for revenge on Tuesday night.

Home form has been pretty impressive too as Clyde have won five of their last six matches overall, while their home record at Broadwood Stadium reads a fairly healthy looking 8-2-3 20/14, with defender Love (6 goals), midfielders Rankin (8 goals) and McNiff (5 goals) and forward Goodwillie (13 goals) providing the cutting edge for the hosts.

Elgin City Prediction

Elgin City occupy one league position beneath the top four clubs in League Two but they’re highly unlikely to be participating in the promotion play-offs as they trail 4th placed Annan Athletic by an 11-point margin ahead of their trip to in-form Clyde on Monday night.

Elgin have produced mixed results in recent weeks which is in keeping with their league position and inconsistent sequence of results so far this season, having recorded recent wins away at Berwick Rangers and a 2-1 home win over tonight’s hosts, Clyde.

However, Elgin have lost their last two away matches on the trot with defeats suffered at Peterhead and Queen’s Park amidst an overall and similarly inconsistent away record of 6-1-7 22/25.

There have been plenty of goals where Elgin City are concerned, especially away from home as the visitors possess the third worst defensive record away form home in the Scottish League Two, where 10 of their 14 home matches have seen over 2.5 goals scored.

Betting Tips Verdict

This should therefore be an entertaining clash with a few goals, but Clyde’s firepower may be too much for Elgin City here.
